Bromoil and Varitone

Bromoil

William Mortensen was certainly a master at many photographic techniqes. One of the most popular things he did was the bromoil process. With the use of the bromoil texture screen you can acheive a light stippleing effect. It is not totally the same as an original bromoil but much easier and you will be amaized at what you will get. This is NOT a grain screen, but something much, much , finer in pattern.

Varitone

Just the opposite of the bromoil is the Varitone. It is probably the boldest pattern we sell. With large strokes you need to put some serious thought into how you would like to incorperate the use of this pattern. Not for every negative, but when used wisely the Varitone can add a tremendous amount of strength to an image.
